چکیده
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, and, occasionally, nickel and other metals that resists corrosion. Metal made into thin, flat pieces through industrial process called sheet metal. One the fundamental shapes used in metalworking, it can be cut bent many shapes. to create a vast array common items. The aim current work examine 310 austenitic stainless steel’s formability at room temperature with different strain rates (i.e 0.1&0.01mm/s). study’s outcomes were achieved utilization Nakazima test during stretch forming. Before performing test, mechanical properties high-strength AISI examined by conducting tensile tests 0.1,0.01mm/s rates. failure modes, stress-strain curves all specimens obtained analyzed. In experiment, forming shaped metal was tested servo electric hot machine i.e, (0.1,0.01) plotted limit diagrams based on results. Then simulations experiments performed LS-dyna software compared practical experiment

Y Studies on Austenitic Stainless Steels
Abstract--In this investigation, the fracture surfaces of SS 304 and SS 316 austenitic steels were analysed using the X-ray fractography technique. In both cases, a decrease in the austenite content was observed at the fracture surface as a result of deformation induced martensite, indicating a linear relation with Km~ within the stable crack growth region. The presence of this martensite was f...
متن کاملSensitization Behavior of Gnaw Austenitic Stainless Steel Joints
The present work has been carried out to study the sensitization behavior of AISI 304L austenitic stainless steel weld, fabricated using GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding process). This weld was subjected to post weld thermal aging (PWTA) treatments lying in the sensitization range, viz. 700 ?C for 30 minutes, 500 minutes and 1000 minutes for studying the influence of carbide precipitation on thei...
متن کاملExperimental Quantification of Phase Transformation in Austenitic Stainless Steel
This conference paper briefly discusses different techniques for measuring the evolution of the martensite content in cold-rolled stainless steel 301LN sheets under mechanical loading. Three methods are employed to measure the martensite content: (1) micrography, (2) bulk magnetic induction, and (3) local magnetic permeability measurements. The first two methods require the extraction of sample...
متن کاملUltrasonic Characterization of Austenitic Stainless Steel in Thermal Variations
This work focuses on the ultrasonic characterization and hardness of Austenitic stainless steel in thermal variation. The sample which was heat treated at 1050 o C has the highest hardness value and plays a dominant role in dispersion of carbides. Shear wave velocity and hardness show similar trend in variation with temperature. The effect of volume expansion would be to decrease the elastic co...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Austenitic Stainless Steel Made by Additive Manufacturing
Using uniaxial tensile and hardness testing, we evaluated the variability and anisotropy of the mechanical properties of an austenitic stainless steel, UNS S17400, manufactured by an additive process, selective laser melting. Like wrought materials, the mechanical properties depend on the orientation introduced by the processing. The recommended stress-relief heat treatment increases the tensil...
